Can beginners attend the advanced studies/teacher training?
It is strongly recommended that if you are attending to acquire certification that you have sustained a personal practice for one year. 

What are the sleeping arrangements at the Hacienda del Sol in Costa Rica?
There are spacious, airy cabinas that sleep two people.  Each cabina has two beds, a veranda, and is a short walk to the main buildings. You can bring a tent if you'd like to camp, and we'll reduce the fee.

What is the food like at the retreat?
The Hacienda serves delicious, fresh, organic fruits and veggies and freshly caught local fish, as well as a variety of grains, proteins, and juices.  The meals are lovingly prepared and reflect the abundance of the tropical climate. We are happy to respond to your individual dietary requests.

What is the schedule? Is there time off to do other things?
There are approximately 7 hours of yoga and meditation practice daily.  Afternoons are free for students to relax, study, swim, hike, or enjoy the clay baths and body work facilities at the Hacienda.  There are also one and a half days off per week to explore, enjoy the local beaches, or study and rest at the retreat.

Will I receive my certification if I attend the retreat?
Students who attend all of the classes,  complete all of the assignments, and have shown an understanding and a dedication to the practice, are eligible to receive certification with Yoga Alliance at the 200 hour level.

What is the price?
The price of $2995 US$ includes all tuition, accommodation at the Hacienda del Sol, and 3 meals/day at the Hacienda.

REFUND POLICY FOR ALL COURSES AND WORKSHOPS

Your deposit reserves your place in the course. Eight weeks prior to the beginning of a course, full payment is required.  If you choose to cancel before 8 weeks prior to the beginning of a course, you will receive a full refund, minus a $50 administration fee.

• Within 8 weeks prior to the start of the course, a cancelled registrant will receive 50% of their deposit.
• Within 6 weeks prior to the start of the course, a cancelled registrant will be charged 25% of the course fee.
• Within 4 weeks prior to the start of the course, a cancelled registrant will be charged 50% of the course fee.
• Within 2 weeks prior to the start of the course, a cancelled registrant will be charged 75% of the course fee.
• No refunds are provided less than 2 weeks prior to courses, except in emergency situations which will be considered on an individual case basis.

In cases of cancellation, it may be possible to transfer payment to future courses. A percentage of the course fee will be charged, depending on the time of cancellation, with the remainder being applied to payment for the future course (6 weeks prior to course charge is 20%, 4 weeks 30%, 2 weeks 40%, less than 2 weeks 50%).

Heart Yoga Center and Karuna and Paul Erickson reserve the right to reschedule or cancel courses based on our minimum registration requirement. This decision will be made no later than 3 weeks before a scheduled start date.  If a course is cancelled or rescheduled, 100% of all payment will be refunded or transferred if desired by the registrant.
